2022 Theo-patra’s Cuvée Cerise by Theopolis Vineyards
This complex cuvée is delightful from first encounter to last sip. On the nose, notes of blueberry are complemented by a potpourri of wild-flowers, sage, and perfumed spices. The palate is bright and juicy. Rich notes of preserved cherry, subtle earth, and soft peppery spice transcend to a long, lively finish.

10% Theopolis Vineyards Petite Sirah, 30% Livermore Valley Mourvèdre, 20% Livermore Valley Syrah, 40% Livermore Valley Grenache
9/7/2022 – Syrah, 9/18/2022 – Petite Sirah, 10/12/2022 – Grenache, 10/12/2022 – Mourvèdre
The Theopolis Vineyards Petite Sirah was fermented 31% whole cluster in a seven ton, open top stainless steel fermenter. The Livermore Valley Syrah, was fermented whole berry in .75 ton T-Bins. The Livermore Valley Grenache and Mourvedre were co-fermented whole berry in a five ton, open top stainless steel fermenter. This blend was aged in 5% new French oak barrels for 16 months.
This wine pairs with a wide variety of cuisine—roasted turkey, grilled vegetables and meats, and a wide variety of comforting braises, stews, and pasta dishes. An enjoyable glass on its own.

This wine is lively, with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dried herbs, toasted vanilla and dried florals on the nose. The flavors on the palate are mulberry, Bing cherry and allspice, interwoven with orange zest, bittersweet chocolate shavings, chicory and a dry, mouthwatering finish. Pair with braised lamb shank.

A meaty, flavorful and rather light-bodied red that offers peppery, Rhone-style flavors on moderate tannins. Baked plums, star anise, black pepper and a little wood smoke on the palate. Drink now.
